Cannabis and the 2017 presidential candidates
The 2017 presidential elections are drawing closer. Several times I've heard comments like “Did you hear? Candidate X is for the legalization of cannabis”. And then on checking, you realize that in fact, no, not at all, this candidate is clearly for prohibition or just for decriminalization.
In the face of this misinformation, I'm offering you a neutral overview of all the current potential candidates (primary or direct) and their position on cannabis, to keep you truly informed, from the far left to the far right.
This is a deeply divisive issue, and the simple divide “the left is for legalization, the right is against” is, as you will see, totally false. We quickly realize that this is a personal position, rather than that of a party.
Come on, a bit of reading for you: you won't be able to say you didn't know before voting for a primary or a candidate in the next presidential election!
The left-right divide forces us to present things as follows: small parties on one side, left and right on the other. Please don't read any bias or value judgement into this, just an organization that makes it easy for us to present all points of view.
