According to this official, who is familiar with the matter, a committee began preliminary work several months ago. However, few meetings have been scheduled, as the committee has been waiting for the recent decision by the United Nations on medical cannabisto decide on the next steps. Going forward, the committee should begin by reviewing the CND’s vote and determining what changes this might entail for Mauritius.
According to one of its officials, the Ministry of Health has taken note of the latest developments and is already acting on the new information. The official also emphasized that this will take some time and that the results will be communicated in due course.
