‘t Keteltje

t Keteltje, «The Little Kettle», is a historic coffeeshop in Jordaan, open since 1988 at Marnixstraat 74, on the border between the city center and this emblematic district of Amsterdam. Now part of the Roots Coffeeshop network, it retains its identity and address, faithful to the spirit of the Amsterdam brown bar that has always characterized it.

The interior is one of the most meticulous in its category: a large, hand-crafted entrance counter made of thick, polished wood planks, wood carvings, elaborate lighting and contemporary colors. At the rear, an enclosed smoking lounge with wooden tables, comfortable banquettes, a pool table and a large TV. The whole has a distinctly warm and qualitative atmosphere, somewhere between a traditional neighborhood café and a refined establishment.

The menu is extensive, with a good selection of flowers, rather old school, classic varieties well worked, and imported pressed resins. Gourmet coffees, teas and snacks complete the offer. The staff are renowned for their product knowledge and attentive service.

‘t Keteltje is just a minute's walk from the Singelgracht canal, in one of Amsterdam's most pleasant neighborhoods for strolling hand-in-hand.
