The 10 companies that could legally grow cannabis in the Netherlands
Yesterday, the Netherlands drawing lots for future legal cannabis producers, who will be responsible for growing cannabis for coffeeshops in 10 major cities.
These 10 companies will be authorized to legally cultivate cannabis provided they pass a final verification stage before being officially awarded their license.
Note: the list below does not correspond to the «ranking» of the draw. It is drawn from names already circulating in the European cannabis industry, and which Mauro Picavet, founder of Cannabis Industry, has been able to confirm and authorize us to reproduce. All the names are not yet known and will be added as we go along.
The 10 companies selected to legally cultivate cannabis in the Netherlands
To sum up, here is the list of 10 companies:

- Cookies
- Cannamax
- Fyta Group
- The Growery (Aurora)
- Aardachtig
- Q-Farms (QATI)
- Holigram (Grassmeijers / Stichting Joinus)
- Leli Holland (Village Farms)
- CanAdelaar* (replacing Supraleaf)

Leli Holland BV
Leli Holland BV would have received two licenses, including one in 1st place in the draw. At least one of Leli Holland's applications is for a production site in Smallingerland, where the mayor already has a pilot cannabis cultivation project.
QATI
On their website, QATI presents itself as: «Together with our team, the local and national government, coffeeshop owners and our acquaintances and chain partners, our mission is to become the best and most reliable producer and supplier of recreational cannabis in the Netherlands. We're not doing this alone. At QATI Group, we have the will and the knowledge to act as a professional partner for everyone involved in the chain.»

Radicle / Cookies
Founded in 2008 by Berner (the prolific San Francisco rapper and entrepreneur) and his partner Jai (a Bay Area breeder and seed selector), Cookies went global in 2011, growing its business through a combination of world-renowned high-end genetics, resonance with cannabis culture and social media influence.
Today, Cookies is the’one of the most respected cannabis brands in California and around the world. The company and its products are recognized worldwide and offer over 85 varieties and lines of cannabis products.
The request would have been made by Radicle , which grows Cookies in Canada.
The Plug
The Plug opened a Cannabis Social Club in Barcelona, followed by a coffeeshop in central Amsterdam. They also have a legal store in Los Angeles, California, and other merchandising outlets in the UK, for example.
