MEPs hold cannabis conference in Brussels
A conference on cannabis titled « Legalization of Personal Cannabis Use: Exchange of Best Practices » (Legalization of Personal Cannabis Use: Exchange of Best Practices) is taking place today at the European Parliament in Brussels. It is being broadcast live, so you can follow it throughout the morning until 12:00 p.m.
Tomorrow, in the @Europarl_EN, we will host a conference on the legalization of personal use of #cannabis. We have two panels featuring experts from countries where cannabis has already been legalized, and from countries that are currently planning to legalize it. pic.twitter.com/zvNgaAntD5

Legalization of Personal Cannabis Use: Sharing Best Practices
The conference is organized by Members of the European Parliament who are part of the «Legalize it EP» campaign, which was founded last July. The founding members are Cyrus Engerer (Malta, SD), Monica Semedo (Luxembourg, Renew), Mikuláš Peksa (Czech Republic, Greens), Dorien Rookmaker (Netherlands, formerly FVD and the Otten Group, now European Conservatives and Reformists), and Luke «Ming» Flanagan (Ireland, Left).
The cannabis conference will take the form of two roundtable discussions.
The first panel discussion begins at 9:30 a.m. and is titled «Exchange of Best Practices.» According to the program, participants will share experiences from Colorado, Malta, Canada, and Uruguay.
The second panel discussion, which will begin at 10:30 a.m., will be titled «Legalization Plans in the EU» and will cover developments in Czech Republic, in Germany, in Ireland and Luxembourg. The notable absentees from this debate are therefore the Switzerland and Netherlands.
Fortunately, you don't need to travel to Brussels for this; you can simply watch the conference from home thanks to the online stream.
