AirBnb offers a night on a cannabis farm for 420
In a sign that attitudes are irrevocably shifting in favor of cannabis, the home-rental platform Airbnb has partnered with Sonoma Hills Farm in California to allow visitors to experience the «high life.».
Host and cannabis grower Aaron Keefer invites visitors to «try their hand at gardening in one of California’s most beautiful agricultural valleys this spring.».
«Embrace the rhythms of nature and cultivate mindfulness with a cannabis-infused retreat at the farm overlooking Sonoma Hills Farm, where we grow premium-quality cannabis alongside a culinary garden featuring regenerative techniques«, according to the Airbnb listing. The company is collaborating with Michelin-starred chefs «to cultivate the finest cannabis, hemp, and sun-grown vegetables.»

One of the three bedrooms available for rent
There are three bedrooms available in the house next to the farm: one with a king-size bed and two with queen-size beds. The room rate is 60 $ US (76 $), plus taxes and fees, per night «in honor of the farm’s 60-acre culinary garden.» Guests must be 21 years of age or older.
Reservations will begin at 1:00 p.m. on April 20. Up for grabs: three trips for up to two people between April 30 and May 3, which «coincides perfectly with planting season.».
The only catch: due to regulations, customers will not be able to «interact» directly with the cannabis produced on the farm. However, they will be able to visit one of the nearby dispensaries while waiting for the California tourism regulations allows for the direct sale of cannabis at the farm.
«Our goal is to normalize the cultivation of hemp and cannabis by demonstrating that it is a plant like any other, with benefits for both people and the earth. By offering an insider’s look at how we carefully cultivate our products—whether vegetables or cannabis strains—we hope to provide a visit that is both relaxing and enriching,» said Keefer.
«By connecting with the land, guests will leave with a different perspective than when they arrived and will have provided meaningful support to our farm.»
In accordance with the principles of regenerative and sustainable cannabis cultivation, Airbnb will make a donation à Regeneration International, an international movement for the transition to a regenerative culture, to support its «mission to reverse global warming and end world hunger.».
